Cardabilities Sketch #54
Hello cardmakers! It's time to reveal another fabulous sketch from Karan at Cardablities! It's an easy one, so I hope you will join us for the challenge!

And in case you need a little inspiration to get you started, here is my take on the sketch...
Supplies: Stamping Bella Pixies Set A stamp; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Neenah White CS;
Neenah Desert Storm CS; Paper Company Chocolate CS; My Mind's Eye Life of the Party PP;
Versamagic Jumbo Java Ink; Brown DMC Floss; Button; Recollections Extra Fine Glitter (snow);
Spellbinders Circle and Lacey Circle Dies; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Pop Dots; Copics
Copics Used:
Hair -E39, E37, E35, E33, E31
Dress -R22, R32, R20
Skin -E21, E00, E000, R30
Sky - BG000, BG0000
The sweet image is from Stamping Bella, and I've colored her with Copics. I always struggle with coloring hair to give it a "curly" texture... I've seen the "dot technique" used to do backgrounds, but why not hair? So I gave it a try here, and I really like the way it turned out! All edges are inked with Versamagic Jumbo Java Ink, and the button is tied on with some good ol' DMC floss... I am slowly using it up, bit by bit!
Need even more inspiration? Head over to the Cardabilities Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created! And I hope you will join in the fun!

My First ATC!
I was recently introduced to the wonderful world of Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) when a fellow stamper invited me to join her ATC swap. I was intimidated at first, because they seemed so small (only 2.5" x 3.5") compared to a full sized card. But it's actually a fun challenge to work on a smaller area! And, I can use the ATC later as the focal point on a full size card... just can't go wrong with that! So here's what I came up with for my first ATC...
Supplies: There She Goes "Under the Weather" stamp set; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Cryogen Curious Metallic White CS; Wausau White CS; DCWV Grade School Stack PP;
Paper Piercer; Pop Dots; Copics (Y38, Y35, Y32, R01)
I used the adorable sun from the Under the Weather set from There She Goes, stamped it onto Cryogen Curious Metallic white cardstock (so it has a little shimmer to it), and colored it with Copics. The clouds were stamped onto Wausau basic white cardstock, then cut out, and they are all popped up on dimensional adhesive dots. I used a paper-piercer to create a little border around the blue dotted cardstock. So simple, but so much fun!
I am entering this into the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #29 - "You are my Sunshine"
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Later Gator
This is the first chance I've had to play with the new Gator image from Whimsie Doodles, and I thought he might look cute paper-pieced (with polka dots of course!)
Supplies: WD Gator digi; Computer-generated sentiment; Georgia Pacific White CS; Wausau Black CS;
Neenah Desert Storm CS; Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots 6x6 Papers; Pop Dots; Petite Ovals Nestabilities;
Offray Saddle-Stitch Ribbon; Copics
Copics Used:
Outline: BG0000
Stomach, Tail, Spine - YG00, YG0000
The coordinating polka dot prints are from the Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots Paper Pack... such fun paper! The main image is cut out using the Petite Ovals Nestabilities, and popped up on dimensional adhesives. The sentiment is computer generated.
This card is for Crazy 4 Challenges #133 - to use black cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I would love to know what you think!
