Thank You Melyssa Blog Hop!
Even though our Design Team term for Whimsie Doodles has come to an end (boohoo!), some of the Doodlelicious Divas got together for one final blog hop - to honor our AMAZING and TALENTED leader, Melyssa Connolly.
Whimsie Doodles will always have a special place in my heart, not only because I LOVE Melyssa's adorable images, but because this was the first Design Team I was invited to join! I can still remember how giddy I was the morning I got Melyssa's acceptance email! She even complimented my coloring! Oh my gosh, coming from HER - that was a HUGE confidence boost!!
So, as I reminisced, I decided it would be fun to share the cards I submitted to Melyssa last year when I tried out for the Whimsie Doodles Design Team!
First up, is a CAS card using Pearl the Penguin...

And next, Balloon Leah... she began my love affair with Whimsie Doodles... she was the first image I ever purchased! (And still one of my favorites!!)

And this one is my favorite card of the three, and was the first I shared on my blog as a Doodlelicious Diva...

I hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane!
Now, be sure to visit all of the Divas on the list and see everyone's favorite Whimsie Doodles creations!
Melyssa, I just want to say
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
for giving me this amazing opportunity! It has been a privilege to be a part of this team, to color so many of your adorable digis, and be in the company of these talented designers!

Tuesday Morning Sketch #155
Good morning crafters! Are you ready for the latest sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches??? Here it is...

So many possibilities, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
For my sample, I used one of my favorite stamps from The Angel Company (sadly out of business now), this sweet little baby from a set called Pocket Peepers. Isn't she a doll?? I colored her up with Copics to match this sheet of Polka Dots paper from Wild Rose Studio. Then I fussy-cut around the baby, and popped her up on a die cut circle. The card is finished off with some paper-piercing, twine, and scallops. I really like the way this one turned out... so sweet and girly!
Supplies: TAC Pocket Peepers; TAC Ordinary Greetings; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Neenah White CS; Bazzill Petunia CS; WRS Polka Dots 6x6 PP; Circle Nestabilities;
Bakers Twine; Paper Piercer; Signo White Gel Pen; Pop Dots; Copics
Copics Used:
Skin - E21, E00, E000, R30
Pink - R85, R83, R81
Green - YG03, YG01, YG00
If you haven't already been there, be sure to pop over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog... you will be SO inspired by the Design Team line up!

I hope you will join the fun!

A Little Something...
...for the Anything Goes Challenge at All That Scraps! I made this clean and simple card using Piper's Surprise, and did a little paper piecing on the gift box. Coloring her was kinda tricky... there is not a lot of space to shade her hair, but I did my best!
Supplies: Pipers Surprise stamp (CC Designs); Cocoa Bear sentiment (Lil Inker Designs);
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; DCWV Brights CS;
MME Life of the Party PP; Petite Oval and Petite Scalloped Ovel Nestabilities;
Sew Easy Floss (red); Recollections Glitter (snow); Copics
Copics Used:
Face - E21, E00, E000, R30
Hair - E37, E35, E33, E31
Bow - R37, R35, R32
Shadow - E43, E42, E41
That's all for today! I have a lot going on this week, so stay tuned!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
A Cherry On Top!
I'm a little behind on sharing the cards I've been making, so this is my second post today! I made this clean and simple card for the Your Next Stamp Color Challenge (Lime, Teal, and Pink), and needed to hurry up and get it posted before the challenge ends!!
The stamps are from two old Angel Company sets - Sweet Sayings, and Sweet Day Cupcake, which is now available from Red Rubber Designs. I used two colors of ink on the sentiment, to make the word "cherry" stand out, and then stitched around the blue panel to frame it all in.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Ocean Breeze CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Palette Belle Rose Ink; Stardust Stickles; Signo White Gel Pen; White Thread;
Pop Dots; Spellbinders Rectangle Nestabilities; Copics
Copics Used:
Cherry - RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21
Leaf - YG25, YG03, YG01
Stem - E25, E23
Wrapper - BG05, BG01, BG000
That's it for today! (Haven't been feeling too good, so keeping it short and sweet!)
Thanks for stopping by!
Tuesday Morning Sketch #154
It's been a busy week for me, but I'm back today to share the latest sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Check it out...

And because it's a judged challenge this week, we have a fun theme for you... Things with Wings! So be sure to include something with wings on your entry to be eligible for the prize from our sponsor - Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!
Ok... ready for a little inspiration? I used this sweet little bird named Chirp from DigiStamp Boutique. The image actually has Chirp sitting on top of a birdhouse, but I cropped that part of the image out, so I could make it look like he's sitting on a wire. Works perfect for this sketch, don't you think??
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Bazzill Maltball CS; Dear Lizzy Neapolitan PP;
Spellabinders Rectangle Nestabilites; Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Ink; DMC Floss; Buttons; Glue Dots; Copics
Copics Used:
Chirp - Y13, Y11, Y00, Y000
Beak - Y38, Y35
Be sure to check out the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog... the Design Team has an amazing line up for you this week!
My card is also being entered into this month's DigiStamp Boutique Customer Competition.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see your take on the sketch!
