Deer Ole Dad
My card today is for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - to make a masculine card. Masculine cards are a HUGE challenge for me! Most of the stamps I am drawn to are very cutesy or kid friendly... that makes it tough to come up with a manly card! So, this is about as masculine as it gets from me...
Supplies: The Angel Company "Great Outdoors" (image); The Angel Company "Greatest Dad" (sentiment);
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Versamagic Jumbo Java Ink; Neenah White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS;
Bazzill Mud Pie CS; Recollections PP; Nestabilities Labels 1; Tan Scrappers Floss; Buttons; Copics
Copics Used:
Deer Bodies - E27, E25, E23
Antlers, Ears, etc - E53, E51, E50
Eyes, Noses, Brows - E29
Bushes - YG25, YG03, YG01
Sky - BG0000
The image and sentiment are from old Angel Company sets. I colored the image with my Copics, then cut it out leaving a thin white border, so it would stand out against the brown die cut shape. I didn't want to do too much embellishing, so I just threaded a few buttons onto Tan Scrappers Floss, and then held them down with Mini Glue Dots.
So how did I do?? Is it masculine enough??

Buzz On Over...
...to the Cardabilities Blog for the latest sketch! This is a fun sketch, and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

For my card, I used the honeycomb background stamp from the Paper Smooches Geo-Graphic set in place of the squares on the sketch. The bees from the Bee Happy set by There She Goes are colored with Copics, cut out, and popped up on foam adhesive. I added a little sparkle to their wings with Recollections Extra Fine Glitter (love this stuff!). The bee trail and sentiment are also from Bee Happy.
Supplies: What's the Buzz set by There She Goes; Geo-Graphic Set by Paper Smooches;
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Neenah White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Wausau Black CS;
Recollections Extra Fine Glitter (snow); Zig Glue Pen; Foam Adhesive; Copics
Copics Used:
Yellow Stripes - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
Wings - BG000, BG0000

One in a Melon
Yup... another fruit pun for you today! This time I used one of the newest Whimsie Doodles images - Watermelon Dress. The watermelon print paper was a lucky find at Michael's... perfect with this image, isn't it? She is printed on Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock, and colored with Copics... I had a little trouble with her hair - she just has SO much of it! The sentiment is from an old Angel Company set - also perfect for this image!
Supplies: Whimsie Doodles "Watermelon Dress"; The Angel Company "Floral Fruits" sentiment;
Neenah White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Imaginisce Watermelon Print Paper;
Wausau Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Ribbon; Copics

Berry Happy
Happy Friday everyone! My SWEET card today is for a couple of challenges...
...the Tuesday Morning Sketch...

...and Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes.
Here it is... I used "Flynn's Berry Happy" from Stamping Bella, and the cute strawberry print paper is from the Dear Lizzy "Neapolitan" pad. Aren't they a perfect match? The word "BERRY" in the sentiment is stamped in Versamagic Pink Grapefruit Ink, for a little interesting contrast to the rest of the sentiment. What do you think??

Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Dear Lizzy Neapolitan PP;
Circles Nestabilities; Polka Dot Ribbon (Michael's); Copics
