It's that time again sketch fans! Melissa has another wonderful sketch ready for you to tackle! Take a look...

So many pssibilities with this one! I can't wait to see what you all can do with it!
If you create something using the sketch, be sure to link up to the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog before Sunday night so you will be eligible for the prize from this week's generous sponsor - Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!
Once again, I took a Clean and Simple approach to the sketch. I used my new Rainbows and Clouds and Sunshine dies from Lil' Inker to make this cheery card. I absolutely LOVE these dies! I'm sure I will be using them ALL the time... just a fair warning! :) I picked a sentiment from the Under the Weather set from There She Goes that I thought would be perfect for this card!

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Hammermill White CS; Wausau Black CS;
DCWV Pastel Stack CS; Echo Park Dots and Stripes Soda Fountain 6x6;

Lil' Inker Color Team New Release Hop - Day 2
Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Color Team's New Release Blog Hop! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's eye candy! Well, it's not over yet! We have a lot more to share with you, but you'll want to make sure you start at the beginning of the hop, which is the Lil' Inker Blog. There are also 2 prize packages being given away at the end of the week, so you'll want to comment on every blog every day to maximize your chances of winning!
Today, we are still showing off the new 2 Cute Ink sets that are now available at the Lil' Inker Store!

Have you picked a favorite yet?? It's so hard to decide, but I think mine just might be this cute pair...
I used them along with some of the awesome Lil' Inker Dies to create a fun little scene on my card today! For the background, I used the larger cloud from the Rainbows and Clouds Die Set, a sponge, and some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create a cloudy sky. The waves are punched from two different shades of blue cardstock using the Fiskars Boundary Waters Border Punch. I colored the turtle and crab with Copics, cut them out, and slid them between the two layers of waves. The scene is finished off with the Large Sunshine Die cut from yellow polka dot paper.
Supplies: Stamps and Dies from Lil Inker Designs; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Tumbled Glass Distress Ink;
Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Ocean Breeze CS; Bazzill Caribbean Breeze CS; Fiskars Border Punch;

For the first two days of our hop, we are showcasing the new 2 Cute Ink sets that will be available starting TODAY! You're going to LOVE them!!
I had the pleasure of inking up the ADORABLE Birthday Owl set for my card today!
The image is as cute as can be, and those punny sentiments... I just love them! I inked this little guy up with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored him with my Copics. He's cut out and popped up over a string of DMC Floss, so it would look like he's sitting on a wire. The balloons were also cut out and popped up for added dimension. The fun polka dotted paper is a digital paper from JazzyPatterns on Etsy called Happy Rain. I sized it to 8x8 and printed it onto my favorite Hammermill cardstock.
Supplies: Birthday Owl Stamp; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Tumbled Glass Distress Ink;
Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Caribbean Breeze CS; Bazzill Mocha Divine CS; DMC Floss;
Paper Piercer; Sponge Dauber, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics Used:
Owl Body - E27, E25, E23
Owl Face - E51, E50, R30
Ears - R30, R00, R000

Blue Balloon - BG05, BG01, BG000

If I haven't convinced you, then I'm sure my very talented team-mate Mary can do the job! Her blog is your next stop:
Enjoy the rest of today's hop, and I'll see you again tomorrow!!
Happy Birthday to You!
For those of you that don't know, I have a major weakness for monkeys! Any time I come across a cute t-shirt with a monkey on it, or a little stuffed monkey doll, I HAVE to buy them for my kids... cute monkey stamps? No exception! So of course, I HAD to have this cute Monkey Zoo stamp from CC Designs! Not only is the image adorable, but I LOVE the sentiment that comes with it!

Cute, right?! So I whipped up this quick birthday card for my nephew...
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; DCWV Brights CS Stack;
My Mind's Eye Out of the Blue 6x6 pad; Memento Tuxedo Black; Versamagic Jumbo Java;
Versamagic Wheat; Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities; Pop Dots; Ribbon; Copics
Versamagic Wheat; Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities; Pop Dots; Ribbon; Copics
Copics Used:
Monkey - E37, E35, E33
Face, Ears - E21, E00, E000
Cheeks - R30
Ribbon - YR18, YR15, YR12
Shading - E42, E41, 0
I stamped only the first line of the sentiment on the outside of the card, and the rest is stamped on the inside (sorry - I forgot to take a picture of that!). All cardstock edges are inked with Versamagic Jumbo Java ink, except for the main image oval, which is inked with Versamagic Wheat. The gift box and hat are paper pieced with papers from the My Mind's Eye Out of the Blue 6x6 Pad. I did a little shading with my copics on the paper pieced areas, just so it wouldn't look so flat.

That's all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love to know what you think!
Tuesday Morning Sketch #158
Happy Tuesday everyone! Are you ready to take on another Tuesday Morning Sketch? Well, you're in for a treat! This week, our fantastic sketch is brought to you by my teammate, Debbie! Check it out...
This week is also a JUDGED challenge, which means you not only have to use the sketch on your entry, but you also have to include the twist! This time it's all about BIRTHDAYS! We want to see you take this sketch and create a birthday card! The Design Team will be choosing our favorite card this week to win a prize from our sponsor, the Digi Doodle Shop!
Digi Doodle Shop was generous enough to offer each of the Design Team members an image to work with! (How awesome is that!!) I chose this adorable Teddy Bear image for my card. As soon as I saw him, I thought of the Snuggle Fabric Softener Bear! So, I tried to color my bear to match. There are so many tiny details in the flowers, that it turned out to be very time-consuming to color... but worth it right? He turned out pretty cute!
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Wild Rose Studio Milton and Friends PP;
Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Ink Pad; Versamagic Jumbo Java Ink Pad; Hydra Sponges; Pop Dots;
Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities; Antique Copper Brads; Copics
Copics Used:
Bear - E53, E30, E50
Ears - R01, R00, R000
Flower Centers - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
Grass, Leaves - YG17, YG13, YG11
Fur "Texture" - 0 (Colorless Blender)
After coloring the bear, I dripped some Copic Colorless Blender solution onto a terry cloth rag, and dabbed it on to create the texture of fur... it's really hard to see on the light colors I used, but here is a close up anyway...
So what do you think? Does he remind you of the Snuggle Bear???
Now be sure to check out the awesome line up the Design Team has created for you at the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog. We also have a special Guest Designer joining us this week - Shelby Thomas. (Holy cow, can she color! Be sure to pay her a visit too!)
That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by!
