Little Cupcake

Once in a while I play along with the weekly sketch challenge on The Angel Company's demonstrator-only site, Paper Wings. Here is the card inspired by this weeks sketch...

Both the image and the sentiment are part of a set from The Angel Company called Little Cupcake. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and baby oil (my favorite coloring technique!) and gave the frosting a little sparkle with Crystal Stickles. On the lavendar cardstock, I used my Scor-Buddy to create a diamond pattern for the base. The pearls on the blue cardstock are just something I had in my stash... thought it added a nice finishing touch to the card! You can click on either of the pictures above for a closer view...

Just a quick and simple card to share today...

This one features the Level A Hostess set Whooo Loves Ya from The Angel Company's current Inspiration Book. I fell for these cute little owls the first time I saw them! You can earn this set FREE when you host a FUNshop that totals $100 or more in sales.
 
The patterned paper on the card is from an old DCWV Christmas stack I've had for a couple years. The heart was made with a Fiskars punch. All other supplies are from The Angel Company. I covered the punched heart with Glossy Accents to give it a little dimension. I also used my Scor-Buddy to frame in the patterned paper. Oh Christmas Tree

This is another card I made using The Angel Company's Stamp of the Month, Jingle Jolly.

I stamped the holly background onto kraft cardstock using black ink, then colored with Prismacolor pencils and baby oil. The "snow" is done with a white gel pen. It took a lot of time to color this one, but I am so happy with the outcome! The christmas tree is done the same way, and jazzed up with gold and red Stickles. Matted it with scarlet cardstock, and finished it off with a bow! You can click on either of the pictures above for a closer view...

My First Blog Post!

I wanted to share a card I made using this month's Stamp of the Month from The Angel Company, Jingle Jolly. I love this set... lots of cute images, and they are so much fun to color! For the month of October you can get this set for only $14.95 with a $30.00 purchase.

For this card, I stamped the snowflake image from the set onto blue cardstock using Palette New Canvas ink. The snowman is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, then blended with baby oil. I used circle and scalloped circle Clever Lever Punches to cut out and mat the image, then added dots to the scallops using a white gel pen. I also added some Stickles to the image to give the look of snow on the ground. The sentiment is stamped on a tag, and attached with scrappers floss. You can click on either of the pictures above for a closer view...
