Henry and Twila
I made these cards a couple of weeks ago, but I am just getting around to posting them now! These cuties are Henry and Twila, from a new line of stamps called Roberto's Rascals at C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps. I made small 4x4 cards, thinking they would make cute lunchbox notes for the kiddos!
First up is Henry... I made these before I got my hands on the new C.C. Cutters Say Cheese Die set (which I LOVE!), so I used my Lil' Inker Designs Instant Camera Die, which has a much smaller opening, so I ended up having to crop quite a bit off the bottom of the images...
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, TAC Brown CS, MME Out of the Blue 6x6,
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Button, Jute Twine, Copics
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, YR0000, R00
Hair - E55, E31, E30, E50
Eyes - E57
Shirt - YG67, YG17, YG25, YG03 and W3, W1, W00
And here is Twila. Same layout, I just tilted the image in the opposite direction. The sentiment on both cards is from AmyR Sweet Summer Sentiments.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, TAC Brown CS, MME Life of the Party 6x6,
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Button, Jute Twine, Copics
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, YR0000, R00
Hair - E57, E55, E31, E30
Eyes - E57
Overalls - R27, R24, R22, R20
Shirt - W3, W1, W00
That's all I have for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tuesday Morning Sketch #209
Happy Tuesday stampers! Are you ready for another fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches?? We have been revisiting some older sketches this month, so here's another one you might recognize... it was originally sketch #161.

We have a fabulous new sponsor joining us this week... Your Next Stamp! (Thanks, Karen!) One lucky winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the YNS Store!
Here is my loose interpretation of the sketch this week... I've used the A+ Teacher set for my card. This is the first chance I've had to ink up this set, and I knew I wanted to try the chalkboard technique with it. I started with a piece of black cardstock, stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink, and sprinkled it with white embossing powder.
(Embossing is one of my least favorite things... I am never satisfied with the results! This one didn't come out too horrible though...)
After heat setting the embossing powder, I wiped some Palette New Canvas Ink onto the cardstock with a sponge, to give it that erased chalk look. I framed it with some wood grain print paper from the Doodlebug Flower Box 6x6 pad, and used up the last scrap of green dot paper from my TAC Brighten My Day 8x8 pad. The apple was colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on the corner of the "chalkboard".
What do you think? I normally struggle with making cards where the sentiment is the focal point, but I really like how this one turned out!

Trick or Treat Bear
It's day 2 of previews at C.C. Designs, and today we are introducing a *new* line of stamps called Monkey Feet! They are super cute images, and lots of fun to color! The image I've used is called Bear-y Trick or Treat...
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Wausau Black CS; K&Co. Patterned Paper; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Dusty Concord Distress Ink; YNS Puffy Cloud Dies; Recollections Extra Fine Glitter; Ribbon; Pop Dots; Copics
If you've followed my blog for a while, you might recognize this patterned paper from last year (and the year before that!)... it is from K&Co, and is my favorite Halloween print. I hoard every little scrap! :) I sponged some subtle clouds in a purple sky with a Synthetic Artist Sponge and Dusty Concord Distress Ink. The rest of the image is colored with Copics.
In the close-up you can see the sparkle... I dabbed a bit of glitter on the stars, treat bag, and costume.
Copics:
Bear - E44, E42, E41, E40
Costume - V09, V06, V15, V12, V01, V000
Treat Bag, Ground - T6, T5, T4, T3, T2
Pumpkin - YR18, YR15, YR12, Y17
Stem - E59, E57, E55
Stars, Moon - Y38, Y35, Y32, E50

Trick or Treat!
Yup... this month's C.C. Designs release has me thinking Halloween already! Are you ready to get a jump start on your Halloween crafting? Then stay tuned for all the sneak peeks at the C.C. Designs Blog this week...
Today the Design Team is showcasing Christine's newest stamps, and I've used the new Trick or Treat Birgitta. I've also used a new sentiment from the soon-to-be-released Boo-tiful Sentiments set. Birgitta is colored with Copics, and the patterned paper is something I found in my stash. It matched this Bazzill Circus Peanuts Cardstock perfectly! What do you think... too much orange?? Orange is a tough color for me to use...
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Licorice Twist CS; Bazzill Circus Peanuts CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Black Scrappers Floss; Button; Recollections Extra Fine Glitter; Copics
Up close, you can get a better look at the glitter I added to the pumpkin faces... try not to pay too much attention to the coloring, though! I am in desperate need of refills for many of my skin tone markers!
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Hair - YR24, Y26, Y21, E50
Pumpkins - YR18, YR15, YR12, Y17
Leaf, Bows - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01
Shoes, Stem - E59, E57, E55
Lollipop, Pumpkin Faces - Y13, Y11, Y00, Y000
The C.C. Designs Store will be stocked with all the new stamps and dies on August 1st!
In the meantime, there are lots of sneak peeks coming, so be sure to check back each day this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
