Tuesday Morning Sketch #209
Happy Tuesday stampers! Are you ready for another fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches?? We have been revisiting some older sketches this month, so here's another one you might recognize... it was originally sketch #161.

We have a fabulous new sponsor joining us this week... Your Next Stamp! (Thanks, Karen!) One lucky winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the YNS Store!
Here is my loose interpretation of the sketch this week... I've used the A+ Teacher set for my card. This is the first chance I've had to ink up this set, and I knew I wanted to try the chalkboard technique with it. I started with a piece of black cardstock, stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink, and sprinkled it with white embossing powder.
(Embossing is one of my least favorite things... I am never satisfied with the results! This one didn't come out too horrible though...)
After heat setting the embossing powder, I wiped some Palette New Canvas Ink onto the cardstock with a sponge, to give it that erased chalk look. I framed it with some wood grain print paper from the Doodlebug Flower Box 6x6 pad, and used up the last scrap of green dot paper from my TAC Brighten My Day 8x8 pad. The apple was colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on the corner of the "chalkboard".
What do you think? I normally struggle with making cards where the sentiment is the focal point, but I really like how this one turned out!

I am not a fan of embossing either... The results are never what I want them to be...!
But, yours is perfect!
Clean, bright. Well done!! :))
