Cookie Break!
It's time for a new monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles, and our theme for this month is
Naughty or Nice??
It's pretty wide open for interpretation, but I figured, what can be nicer than Christmas Cookies? ;)
I colored up the new Santa's Break image for my card, did a little paper peicing on his hat and pj's, and paired him with some cookie paper from the Recollections Sugar Plums 6x6 pad.
The patterned paper is a bit busy, so I kept it simple and just used my Marvy Snow Marker on his hat and added a button tied with twine to embellish.
Copics:
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R30
Beard - 1, T0, C00

Patterned Pizzazz!
It's time for our monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp!
Each month we are "dared" to use the newly released products along with a theme... this time, it's
Patterned Pizzazz!
... meaning we have to use 3 or more patterned papers on our creations.
UGH!!!!
I can do this, but when I HAVE to do this, I freak out a little!
I love patterned papers, and use them all the time, but 2 different patterns is typically the limit of my comfort zone!
Even with my reservations, I think my card actually turned out okay...
This cutie is Holly Jolly Jessica and she was part of our November Release. I've chosen some Doodlebug papers from a couple different collections (Sugar Plums and Kraft in Color), and cut them into strips with the Scrapworks Strips Die. Then I cut the layers with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and scattered some of the new Holly Jolly Sparkly Gumdrops around the card.
Copics:
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Hair - E59, E37, E35

YNS November 2015 New Release Blog Hop!!

It's time to hop and shop with this month's NEW RELEASE from Your Next Stamp!!!
I think the Christmas releases are my favorite... the products are so adorable, and it's so fun to see the card and gift ideas the team comes up with. I hope you are ready to be inspired!!
First up, I've used Merry Chris-Moose... how cute is this little guy?! The set includes two sentiments, and I think you can use him for all sorts of wintery cards, not just Christmas. It's a very simple layout, and I've popped the little moose up in front of a Circle Die.
Copics:
Face and Body - E44, E43, E42, E41
Mouth - E43, E42, E41, E40
Cheeks - R30
Antlers - E49, E47, E44, E43
Hat and Scarf - R39, R27, R24, R22, R20 and T2, T1, T0
My next card is my second ever shaker card! These are so much fun to make, and I thought it would work well to create a snowy themed card for the sweet new Little Darling Winter...
This card has SO MUCH SPARKLE!! I wish you all could see it in person, because my photos just don't do it justice!
I used my Circle Die Set to cut out the center, backed it with clear acetate, and filled it with glitter and sequins! The sentiment is stamped onto the smallest of the Fishtail/Banner Dies Set One.
I covered Winter's dress and cape with sparkles using my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, and then added Silver Stickles to the snowflakes on her cape and to her crown. I even swiped a bit of glitter onto her eye-shadow! :)
I tried to show it off in a close-up, but it's nothing like seeing it in person!
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Hair - W1, E41, E40, E50
Dress - BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000

The Christmas Pickle
It's SNEAK PEEK day at Your Next Stamp!!!
I get so excited to share the new releases with you all, that sometimes it's hard to wait!!! This month's release is SO MUCH FUN!!! I found myself reaching for the products for other cards, and then realizing I couldn't use them just yet... it was torture!!
Today's project was really fun to put together! I've used a new Waddles set called The Christmas Pickle. This set is soooo stinkin cute, it has inspired me to start this tradition with my kiddos this year!

My idea was to create a cute way to package the Christmas Pickle Ornament, so I used an empty canning jar and decorated a label to wrap around it. This would be a great way to present it as a gift to someone, and the jar can be kept for storing the pickle year after year!
On the back of the label, I stamped the cute pickle poem...
... and also added a label to the lid using the Circles Die Set...
I had to use the adorable Waddles in the set, too! I colored him up and make a cute little tag to attach to the "Pickle Prize". The dies I used for the tag are Circles Die Set, Winter Fun Tag Die Set, and Fishtail/Banner Die Set One.
I love how my project turned out, but unfortunately have gotten myself into a little bit of a pickle!!! I can't find a Christmas Pickle Ornament anywhere in town! :( So, my project feels kind of incomplete right now... I'll have to order something online so I can start this fun tradition with the kiddos this Christmas.

See you back here tomorrow for the big release blog hop!!!
