Ruff Day?
It's challenge time at Your Next Stamp!
This time, we want to see Lots of Layers!
This is actually quite a challenge for me! I tend to lean toward a more clean and simple style, and pairing patterned papers for layering is really hard for me!
I brought out an oldie for this card... I Ruff You! I used papers from the Doodlebug Puppy Love 6x6 Pad, and even paper-pieced the fence with a scrap from the collection. The pup is colored with Copics, and the sky is sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
Check it out... I even decorated the inside!
The front and inside sentiments are from the Word Critters - Cats and Dogs set. Then I added a paw cut from the Mini Paw Print Die.
All layers are cut from the Stitched Rectangles Dies, except for the orange stripe on the side, which was cut from the Scrapworks Stitched Strips Die Set.
Copics:
Dog - W3, W1, W0, W00
Ear, Paw, Nose - E49, E47, E44, E43
Eyes - BG0000, C00
Tongue - R24, R22, R20, R01
Grass - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01, YG00
Shadows on Fence - T2, T0
I stepped out of my comfort zone, but I think it worked out okay!
How about you?? Are layers hard for you? Join the challenge and show us what you come up with... there is a YNS Gift Certificate up for grabs, too!

Today is my day to share some spring inspiration! I inked up a cute chickie from the Puddles of Fun set. The layers are cut using the YNS Sttched Rectangle Dies, and that cute cloudy paper is from the YNS Fairytale Magic 6x6 Paper Pad.
Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, Astrobrights 80# Black, YNS Fairytale Magic 6x6 Paper,
YNS Black Olive Ink Pad, YNS Stitched Rectangle Dies, YNS Circle Dies, Copics, Memento Summer Sky Ink
I created my own stencil using the YNS Circle Dies, and a piece of scrap paper. I masked off the chick, and the bottom of the circle using a post-it, then sponged the circle with Memento Summer Sky Ink.
Copics:
Chick - Y15, Y13, Y02, Y11, Y00, Y0000
Beak - Y38, Y35, Y32
Boots - R29, R27, R24, R22, R20
Puddle - BG000, BG0000
Tomorrow is the final post in the Spring Series, so be sure to stop by the YNS Blog and catch up on any of the inspiration you might have missed!

Stamp Anniething has been hosting a lot of color-alongs in their Facebook Group. I haven't been able to participate in any of them yet, but Annie has been so generously sharing digital stamps to go with the color alongs! I am such a sucker for the Chibi Kids! This one is called But First, Coffee. When I saw her, I knew she would be perfect with this sentiment from Jaded Blossom - Java Time.

Hemp COrd, Foam Adhesive, YNS Stitched Rectangle Dies, Copics
I paired her with paper from the YNS Crazy for Coffee 6x6 Paper Pad, and colored her with Copics to match. I used a washcloth dipped in Copic blender liquid to add the texture to her robe and slippers.
Copics:

Healthcare Worker Freebies at Tiddly Inks!
Have you seen the cute FREEBIES over on the Tiddly Inks Blog?
These are so perfect for showing appreciation to medical workers, or for a get well card for someone under the weather, and the doctor with the doggie could even be sent to a vet! I like that these can be used beyond our current crisis.
I haven't added a sentiment to any of these cards yet, but there is plenty of space to do so when I'm ready to send them out!
I repeated the same layout for each card... clean and simple is perfect if you plan to mass produce!

Love You More Than...
...PENGUINS!!!
My kiddo LOVES penguins! I'm pretty sure he'd have one for a pet if it were possible!
I've had the Dress Up Penguin set from Jaded Blossom for a long time, and this is the first time I've inked it up! I just had to have to have it, not only for the love of penguins, but because it resembles his FAVORITE penguin SO MUCH!!
This is Bert, and I'm sure you can tell that he is a well-loved toy in our house! :)
The card is simple... I colored the penguin with Copics, then popped him up on a background inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The sentiment comes from the Java Time set at Jaded Blossom, I just masked off the last part of the sentiment, and added the word "penguin" with my YNS Mini Letters and Numbers. It took a few tries to get it lined up just right!
Supplies: Hammermill Color Copy Cover 80#, YNS Hugs and Kisses 6x6, YNS Black Olive Ink, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink,
Foam Adhesive, YNS Stitched Rectangle Dies, Copics
The paper with the tiny heart print is from the YNS Hugs and Kisses 6x6 Pad.
Copics:
Penguin - T8, T6, T4, T2, T1, T0
Beak and Feet - YRo4, Y38, Y35, Y32
Cheeks - R30, R000
I'm linking this cutie up to the Jaded Blossom Blog for their Animal Challenge!
Thanks so much for visiting!
