It's time for our monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles, and I am you hostess this month! I am challenging you with the theme

MERRY & BRIGHT!

Create a holiday project and make sure you use some bright colors!

      

I've used two of the newly released digis... the gingerman is from the Santa and Friends set, and the cute greeting is from Santa Sentiments. They coordinate perfectly, don't you think?!

    

       

I've colored the gingerman with Copics, cut him out, and popped him up on some sweet colorful paper from the Doodlebug Santa Express 6x6 Pad. I wanted his buttons to look like sugary candy gumdrops, so I covered them in Stardust Stickles. The rest of his features were coated with Glossy Accents. I finished the card off with some ribbon, and a little more Stardust Stickles to frame the sentiment.

It's time for a new Fun Friday Sketch and color Challenge at Your Next Stamp!

   

Julie has designed a lovely clean and simple sketch for us this time around...

    

     

and we have a beautiful color combo for you as well...

      

    

As always, you can choose inspiration from one, or combine the two to enter the challenge.

    

I adore the sketch this time, so I used that for my inspiration... I colored up the two larger gingerbreads from the Sweet Holiday Greetings set, cut them out and popped them up on a partial circle. The tiny heart between them is from the Awesome Border Dies Set One, and I used a sentiment from Santa Express.

      

     

The challenge ends Thursday, November 27th, so you have two weeks to play along!

One lucky winner will be chosen at random to receive a $15 YNS Gift Certificate! However... if the winning entry uses YNS stamps or dies as the focal point, the gift certificate will be increased to $20!!

I colored up the new Cuthbert Woodcutter digital stamp for my card today. He's adorable, and he gave me a good excuse to use up some scraps from my Doodlebug Friendly Forest 6x6 pad! 

       

     

After coloring his fur, I gently dotted the markers all over to add a little texture. Pretty simple, but I think he turned out cute...

It's time for a new challenge at A Random Fan! Are you ready??

This time we are challenging you to use the theme...

WINTER WONDERLAND!

         

I used Share A Latte on my card... this is MY idea of a winter wonderland! I think snow is beautiful, but I would rather be snuggled up under a blanket with my pj's on watching it all from a window! I guess it's a good thing I'm in Southern California now! :)

     

I paired her with some wintery paper from the Doodlebug Frosty Friends 6x6 pad, and a sentiment from AmyR Winter Chuckles. I doodled a thin border around the image with my Copic 0.1 Mulit Liner, then finished it off with a couple of YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Cuts, and a snowflake shaped button.

Karen decided to do something a little different with this month's after party... she is "daring" the design team to create a project with a specific theme. So fun!!!

Our dare was an easy one, and perfect for showcasing the new release...

       

I wanted the trim on her hat and coat to look fluffly, so I used some clear chunky glitter. It's so hard for me to get a decent picture of glitter, but hopefully you can see some of the sparkle close up...
