Get a Load of This!!
It's almost time to reveal the January Release at Your Next Stamp!! Before we get to the full reveal tomorrow, the designers have prepared some sneaky peeks for you today!
I am so crazy about the stamp set I used for my sneak peek... it's called Keep On Trucking, and I have been anxiously awaiting it's release for a few months! My son LOVES construction vehicles! He's fascinated by them, and wants to be a "worker" when he grows up so he can drive all of them! :)
I often have a hard time with boyish cards... I'm very drawn to all things cutesy and girly, but these trucks will get lots of use from me! I used the Dump Truck image from the set, and paired it with the most perfect dump truck paper from the BoBunny On The Go 6x6 pad. The tire tread paper is from the same pad, and I've popped the truck up on top of that. I stamped the coordinating sentiment onto a die cut yellow circle, and doodled a thin border around the edge. I finished it all off with some mini silver brads on the tires and in the corners.

Today Is A Gift
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you've had a wonderful holiday with family and friends! I sent the kiddos off to school this morning after a nice long break, so now it's time to get back into our normal routine.
How about a New Release from Whimsie Doodles to start off your week!?
The design team has a wonderful line up of creations featuring some gorgeous new images, so be sure to have a look at the Whimsie Doodles Blog!
I've colored up the new Abby Gables image... isn't she sweet? Her dress is paper pieced using some scraps from the Basic Grey Mint Julep 6x6 pad... the floral print has kind of a vintage cotton look to it, so I thought it was perfect for her outfit! The sentiment is from an old There She Goes stamp set... I sure do miss TSG!

Last Minute Gift Card Holders
Today is the Your Next Stamp December Feature, and this month's theme is Christmas!
With only three more days to go, I wanted to share a super simple project for any of you last-minute shoppers and wrappers!!
These gift card holders came together in no time! I cut heavy weight cardstock to measure 4.25" x 5.5", and scored it at 1" and 3.5".
Then I folded the 1-inch flap, and added scor-tape to the sides to create a pocket. The pocket and front of the holder are decorated with scraps of patterned paper, and a glittery die-cut embellishment. To keep the holder closed, I added pieces of adhesive velcro.
Just tuck a gift card into the pocket, or even a little bit of cash, and you're done!
Here are two of the holders I made in just a few minutes... the first is topped with a snowflake from the Winter Fun Tag Die Set, and the second is from the Whimsy Star Die Set.
Supplies: Recollections 110# White CS, Doodlebug Frosty Friends 6x6, Recollections Glittered CS, Corner Chomper,
YNS Whimsy Star Dies, YNS Winter Fun Tag Dies, Adhesive Velcro, Scor-tape
Now, if you head on over to the YNS Blog and leave a comment, you'll have a chance at winning a YNS Stamp Set!!!

Sweet Tweets for You!
Happy Friday!! Only 6 more days until Christmas... are you ready??
I will be spending the day frantically wrapping and hiding gifts, since the kids start their winter break from school after today!
But before I get myself lost in that, I have my YNS Fun Friday card to share with you!
Here is a look at the sketch and color combo for the challenge...

This is such a pretty color combo, but I was really drawn to the sketch this time. I used an image and sentiment from a set called Gifts for You. The birds are colored with Copics, and the three gifts are paper pieced with scraps from the Doodlebug Santa Express 6x6 pad. The sentiment is stamped onto a cut from the Fishtail/Banner Die Set One, and finished off with a bow.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Recollections Red CS, Doodlebug Santa Express 6x6, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,
Ribbon, YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set One, Copics

I've colored up the new Larry's Gift digi for my card today. I am a bit obsessed with glitter and stars lately! I've colored Larry with Copics, and paper pieced his hat and gift box. The bow and stars are covered with Lavender Stickles to match the purple glitter paper I used for the star die cuts.
