Hey Girl!
It's time for a new monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles, and this month is
All About the Ladies!
I colored up one of my favorites... Flower Girl. She's so sweet, and versatile!
My layout inspiration is from the current Deconstructed Sketch... this is way different than anything I would usually try, but I really like this sketch! I think I will be using this one again!
Once I had my card put together, I couldn't decide on a sentiment, so I recruited a little crafty helper... my 7-year-old daughter, Olivia. I told her the card was meant to be "girly" so she looked through all of my stamps, and settled on this sentiment from Paperie Ink's Baby Bunting set.
She did good, don't you think?? :)

Hooked on You!
I have been so anxious for this day to come!!
Today, I am so excited to introduce you to a BRAND NEW clear stamp company...
My amazing and talented friend, Sherry (whose works of art you know as A Random Fan stamps), has ventured into the world of clear stamps!
Seriously... her talent is limitless!!
Where her first line of images has catered to the colorist, I think these new stamps will appeal to card makers of all types!
Go see for yourself!!!
For my first project as part of the Paperie Ink Design Team, I used the adorable Gone Fishing set.
I love to make my kiddos a special treat for holidays (or sometimes just because), and as soon as I saw the "Hooked on You" sentiment in this set, I had this idea for Valentine's Day!
Aren't these fun!?
I found the little pails at Michael's, and loaded them with sour gummy worms.
Then, I got busy creating some cute tags to tie onto the handles of each pail.
I didn't want the tag to be completely flat, so instead of using the hook image in the set, I made a hook from a paper clip! Then, I colored and cut out three of the itty-bitty worms, and used some mini glue gots to wrap them around the hooks. The tags are inked with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks, with some of the little bubbles from the stamp set stamped around in Tumbled Glass Ink. They are tied on with a simple piece of black floss, and then some sheer ribbon on either side to hold them in place on the handles.
What do you think???
I can't wait to ink up the rest of my Paperie Ink stamps!! Each set is whimsical, adorable, and really versatile!
Don't be a stranger, because I'll be bringing you some Paperie Ink Inspiration right here every Friday!
Now... I dare you to go look around the store and NOT fall in love!! ;)
Hoppy Valentine's Day!
It's time for some Fun Friday inspiration at Your Next Stamp!
The current sketch is awesome, perfect for building a little scene on your card...

... but, I actually used the colors for my inspiration this week...

I've had this idea for a while, and was finally able to put it together! I found these cute little frogs in the party favor section of my local dollar store... 24 in a pack for just a buck! I thought these would make a cheap and easy Valentine for the kiddos to hand out in their classes...
I started with the Mason Jars stamp set, and stamped the taller of the two jars onto kraft cardstock, then cut it out with the matching Mason Jar Die. The sentiment is from the Loves and Smiles stamp set, and is stamped on top of a sublte pink heart from the Jungle Critters set.
I just used mini glue dots on the frog's feet to attach it to the Mason Jar.
The glue dots hold really well, but if you wanted a little added security that the frog would not become separated from the card, it fits PERFECTLY into a 3" x 2" jewelry bag. I found these in the craft section at Wal-Mart.

Little Peanut
It's time for our monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp!
Karen challenged us with a recipe... use at least:
3 Gumdrops, 2 YNS Dies, and 1 YNS Stamp
Not too hard...
I came up with a simple 6x6 layout using the new Little Peanut stamp set. I love this image! I colored the baby and his umbrella with Copics, paper-pieced the elephant, and then added some shading with the Copics.
I used Apricot Gumdrops because they matched perfectly with my paper! The sentiment is stamped onto a cut from the Fishtail/Banner Die Set One, and popped up to leave space for a photo. I also used the Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die to create the stitched borders.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, We R Memory Keepers Baby Mine 6x6, YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set One,
YNS Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics:
Baby - E11, E21, E00, E000, R30
Umbrella - Y38, Y35, Y32, T1
Elephant - T2, T1, T0 and R30, R000, R0000
That's all I have for you this time, but you can check out the rest of the design team's amazing projects over on the YNS Blog... and be sure to leave a comment when you head over... one lucky winner will recieve a YNS Stamp Set of their choice!!
