I'm All Ears...
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I don't have a st. Paddy's Day themed card to share, but my card does have some green on it! :)
It's my turn to share some New Release inspiration on the C.C. Designs Blog today, and I've colored up the adorable new Bunny Twila.
I've paper-pieced her ears and tummy with some scraps from my Doodlebug Hello Spring pad (sigh... it's almost gone!), and then colored her with Copics. She is cut out and popped up in front of a stitched oval from the C.C. Cutters Make-A-Card Die #5. The sentiment is from the new AmyR Hopped Up set.
Pretty simple, but I like the way she pops against the green background.

The 15th already?! Time is just screaming by me!!
The good news is, we have a new monthly challenge beginning at Whimsie Doodles today!
This month's theme is
Spring In Your Step!
What comes to mind when you think of spring? I automatically think of pastel colors and bunnies. And with Easter just around the corner, I thought I'd make a sweet and simple easter card for the challenge.
I colored up the Bunny Egg digital stamp, and paired her with some papers from my Doodlebug Hello Spring pad.

Beary Much!
That's right... another bear pun!
I hadn't put away these sentiments from my card yesterday, so I decided to put them to use once more, and color up another cute bear. This one is from a Paperie Ink set called Baby on Board.
I was really happy with the other card, so I went with a similar layout and color scheme. I finally had a chance to use my new YNS Scrapworks Mini Sunburst Die Set. I love how it leaves a stitched border on the outside of the die cut... it's such a fun and simple way to frame an image. I mimicked the stitched borders around the edges of the card with my YNS Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die. The little bear is colored with Copics, and popped up in front of the heart frame, resting just above the sentiment banner.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, Pink Paislee Secret Crush 6x6, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,
YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set One, YNS Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die, YNS Scrapworks Mini Sunburst Die Set,
MFT Pure Innocence Bear Hugs stamp set (sentiment), Paperie Ink Baby on Board stamp set, Pop Dots, Copics
That's all I have to share today!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great weekend!!
a"PEAR"ently...
...it's Friday!! YAY!!!
It's week two of inspiration for the current Sketch & Color Challenge at Your Next Stamp.
Julie has designed a fabulous sketch for us, and I absolutely LOVE it!

Lots and lots of possibilities for this one!
Of course, we also have the option of a lovely color combo for you...

Soooo pretty!
As always, you can take your inspiration from one, or combine both for the ultimate challenge!
I've used just the sketch today, along with the Fruity Fun set. This is definitely a new favorite for me... lots of silly sentiments, and when you combine the fruit shapes with the Create a Character set, the possibilities are endless!
I colored the pear with Copics to match this pear print paper from the Doodlebug Fruit Stand collection. I stamped the face onto the pear after coloring, and just paper pieced the white of his eyes. I also used the Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die to give each of the layers of the card a stitched edge.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, Bazzill Easter Grass CS, Doodlebug Fruit Stand 6x6,
YNS Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics:
Pear - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01, YG21
Stem - E57, E55, E31
Leaf - YG67, YG17, YG25, YG03
Only one week left for you to join in for a chance to win a YNS Gift Certificate!
