Soy Awesome Sneak Peek!
Alrighty YNS fans... it's that time again!
Our May Release Blog Hop is coming up (tomorrow to be exact!) and that means the Design Team is giving you some sneak peeks of whats to come!!!
I have a cute little card using the new Soy Awesome set to share with you. It coordinates with Create a Character, and even has some face images included in the set, but I opted to use one from the Fun Faces set instead. I used Fishtail/Banner Die Set One for the sentiment, and just rotated it in the die and cut a second time to get the fishtail detail on both sides. I backed the sentiment with a circle from the Circles Die Set, and inked all the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink before popping the image up on the card.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Recollections Ivory CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, Bazzill Peanut Fudge CS,
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Antique Linen Distress Ink, My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy 6x6, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics:
Lid - R59, R29, R27, R24, R22

Thanks Teacher
It's the second week of inspiration for the Your Next Stamp Challenge 13. Here is another look at our sketch and color combo...

I went with the sketch for my inspiration this time. This week was Teacher Appreciation Week at the kids school, so I've been making lots of teacher themed cards and gifts... I'll share more later! :)
For today's card, I used the Scripty Words Die Set and coordinating Scripty Word Die Sentiment Set for the focal point... no coloring this time. I inked all the edges of my papers (from Echo Park's Paper and Glue 6x6 pad) with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. The banners are cut from the Fishtail/Banner Die Set One and layered underneath the sentiment.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, Bazzill Peanut Fudge CS, EP Paper & Glue 6x6,
Palette Burnt Umber Ink (sentiment) Gathered Twigs Distress Ink (inked edges), Pop Dots

Lots of Layers!
It's time for another challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, and this time we want you to use
LOTS OF LAYERS!!
I lean more toward a clean and simple kinda card, so when I saw the theme, I was a little freaked out! But it actually wasn't as challengeing as I thought it would be... I love to add thin mats to each of my layers, so those count, right? If you count my image popped up in front, I have a total of 7 layers! Yay me!!
This cutie is one of the newest images from the Roberto's Rascals line... Birthday Twila. I did a little paper piecing on her dress and hat, and popped her up next to a cute sentiment from AmyR HB2U Sentiments. All the layers are cut out using my by DIEzyne Big Stitched and Pierced Rectangles Dies.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Wausau Black CS, MFT Razzlebarry CS, Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe 6x6,
Memento Black Ink, by DIEzyne Stitched and Pierced Rectangles Dies, AmyR HB2U Sentiments, Pop Dots, Copics

That's all for now!

Love and Smiles Pup
There's a new Sketch and Color Challenge starting today at Your Next Stamp.
Here is the awesome sketch Julie has designed for us...

...and the color combo...

Remember, you can take inspiration from just one of these, or combine them for the ultimate challenge!!
I used the color combo this time, but my colors are a bit brighter than the swatches in the photo... when I printed it for reference, they did not look so pastel! Oh well... close enough, I hope!
I set out to make a little scene with the cute pup from the Love and Smiles set. This cloudy paper from the Echo Park Everyday Eclectic pad had most of the colors for the challenge, and was the perfect backdrop for my scene! I cut a piece out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and added details with Lamp Post and Fence Die Set, Chunky Grass Die, and Puffy Clouds Die Set.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Echo Park Everyday Eclectic 6x6, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics:
Dog - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Pink Balloon - R35, R32, R20, R20
Green Balloon - YG01, YG21, YG00, YG0000
