Mr. Fix It!
I took a little bit of time off from the Whimsie Doodles design team, but I'm back today with a fun card using Mr. Fix It!
Isn't he cute? And he's perfect for this month's challenge theme - One For the Guys!
I've had this little guy colored up for nearly a week, but was struggling getting him on a card. Then, I saw the new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches today, and it was perfect for him!! I paired him with some papers from the DCWV Boyhood Stack, and some brads that look like screw heads.

Ducks Crossing!
There are 15 new Doodle Dragon images available at C.C. Designs this month!!
There are so many super cute images, and they are so fun to color!

With the end of the school year coming up, there are lots of people to give our thanks to, and I thought the new Duck Crossing stamp would make a perfect thank you for our school crossing guard! Rain or shine, she is out there keeping kids safe, and that deserves a little something!
I colored the image with Copics, and paired it with some bright yellow and green papers. The yellow cardstock is inked with Memento Dandelion Ink around the edges, and the green print (from Doodlebug Take Note) is inked with Memento Pear Tart Ink. The seniment I used is from the Meoples Royal Magic stamp set.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Wausau Black CS, Bazzill Grapefruit Bliss CS, Doodlebug Take Note 6x6,

Fox Journal
It's time for our monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp, and this time, Karen has "dared" us to use stitching and Gumdrops on our projects! Fun!!
I am a little obsessed with covering notebooks and journals lately. I found some simple spiral notebooks at the dollar store, and they are perfect for decorating! I've been making teacher gifts, and journals for the kiddos and myself.
Do you remember me mentioning how much I love to make lists? Well, I've been carrying this notebook around for a couple of weeks jotting down ideas, and it was about time for me to cutesy up the plain black cover! I used the fox from the new Woodland Cuties set, and colored it with Copics. I thought the fox print paper from my Doodlebug Friendly Forest 6x6 pad would be cute with the image, so I cut out a piece using my Stitched Rectangles Dies. The fox is popped up on cut outs from the Circles Dies, detailed with the Stitching Marks Circles Die Set. I added a couple of Black Gumdrops to the corner, and whipped up a matching pen!
Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Wausau Black CS, Doodlebug Friendly Forest 6x6, YNS Circles Dies,
YNS Stitched Rectangles Dies, YNS Stitching Marks Circles Dies, YNS Woodland Cuties, Pop Dots, Copics
Copics:

Ears, Nose - R20, R30, R000, R0000

Half Oval Treat Holder
It's my turn to share a "How-To" post on the C.C. Designs Blog today, so I came up with an idea for an easy little treat holder...
The new by DIEzyne Half Oval Dies were designed to make creating easel cards a breeze, but I always like to find ways to get a little extra mileage out of my dies. That's how I came up with this little idea!
To make your treat holder, you'll need a few basic supplies: scoring board, die cutting machine, by DIEzyne Half Oval Dies, and heavy-weight cardstock.
To make your treat holder, you'll need a few basic supplies: scoring board, die cutting machine, by DIEzyne Half Oval Dies, and heavy-weight cardstock.
Start with a piece of heavy-weight cardstock. (My measurements are for using the middle half oval die for the base... adjustments can be made to use the larger half oval if desired) Cut the base piece to 3 1/8 inches x 6 1/2 inches. (I used Bazzill Wax Lips for my base.) Score it at 2 3/4 and 3 3/4.
Line up the Half Oval with the opening facing the score line, hold in place with washi tape if needed.
Cut and repeat on the opposite side.
Now you can fold at the score lines, making sure the pierced details from the dies show on the outside of the treat holder.
Use the smaller Half Oval to cut a decorative piece for the front of the treat holder, lining up the opening of the half oval to the edge of the paper. I used paper from the Doodlebug Back to School 6x6 pad.
Adhere this piece to the front of the holder. You could decorate the back as well, but I only added to the front of mine.
Next up, I made a tag for my little treat pouch. I used the apple image and a partial sentiment from Meoples Royal Magic, and C.C. Cutters Make-a-Card Die #2. The apple is cut out with a 3/4 inch circle punch.
Just adhere the layers together...
...and now you need to punch a hole through the front and back of the treat holder.
I didn't measure for the hole, I just eye-balled it and aimed for the center. :)
Now you're ready to load up your treats... I used Hershey's nuggets for mine, but you could also use lip gloss, small nail polishes... I'm sure there are lots of little gift items that would fit!
To add a little extra detail, I wrapped the nuggets with matching paper. Each wrap measures 1 inch x 3 inches, and is held on with a bit of 1/8" Scor Tape.

Now load them into your pouch... I was able to tie the holder closed tight enough so that the treats aren't going to budge, but if you want to be certain they stay in place, use a little bit of Scor Tape or some glue dots.
I finished it off by tying the tag on with Doodlebug Beetle Black Twine.
The last day of school is approaching fast, and this will make a sweet little treat for my kiddos to pass out at school. It's not limited to school treats though! Just change the colors to make cute party favors, or put names on them for place settings at a table... the possibilities are endless!
That's all for today!

YNS May Release Blog Hop!!!
Welcome to the Your Next Stamp May New Release Blog Hop!!!

We have an AMAZING release to share with you today!! I am overwhelmed with ideas for all the new goodies! I have three projects to show you, so let's get right to it! I have to warn you... it is a picture heavy post, but I hope you'll like what you see! :)
First up, I'm featuring the new set called Baking Buddies... oh my gosh! This set is SO much fun!! From school treats, to party favors, and even bake sale tags... there are LOADS of uses for this set! It coordinates beautifully with the new Candy Topper Die, but I decided to pair it with the Pillow Bow Die for a cute little treat...
I cut the pillow box out of clear acetate, and wrapped it with some simple polka dot washi tape. I stamped the fish image into the center of a circle from the Circles Die Set, and then stamped the "Yummy Treats" sentiment multiple times to border the circle. It's framed with a scalloped circle from the Open Scallop Die Set. I did add a bit of sparkle to the fins with my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen... as much as it sparkles in person, I can never get it to show in my photos!
(Copics: YR04, Y38, Y35, Y32)
I will probably tuck these into the kiddos lunch boxes for a fun surprise, but wouldn't they make cute little classroom treats? What kid doesn't love Goldfish crackers?!
Up next, I used the new Candy Topper Die along with the new For the Teacher stamp set to make a little gift for the kids teachers. Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at their school, so my new goodies came in handy!
I came across these owl sticky notes at Target recently... not only do they make a cute teacher gift, but they go perfectly with this new stamp! I decorated the Candy Topper with Doodlebug Back to School paper, and added a Circle Die bordered with the Stitching Marks Circles Dies. The owl is cut out and popped up in front of the stitched circle. I've had these mini gel pens in my stash for a long time, and thought it would be cute to add to the bag. I just rolled up a scrap of paper to match the topper, and inserted it into the barrel of the pen.
(Copics: Owl - E27, E25, E23, E31, Hat - T6, T5, T4, Beak, Feet - Y38, Y35, Y32)
I made two of these, each with a different sentiment stamped onto the banner, and then clipped them onto a giant bag of M&M's with a mini clothes pin.
Are you still with me?
I have just one more project to share with you! This one features the new Little Darling Rapunzel. Isn't she gorgeous?! And so fun to color!! This is a very tall image, so I made a larger A7 sized card (5"x7"). The edges are "stitched" with the Tiny Stitches Stitched Line Die, and the sentiment is cut out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
(Copics: Hair - E99, YR24, Y21, Tower - T4, T3, T2, T1, T0, Grass, Trees, Frog - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01, YG21,
Dress - V15, V12, V01, V000, Hearts - R20, R30, R000, R0000, Sky - BG0000)
I thought this would make a really cute cover for a journal, but the only ones I had on hand were bright orange and red. :(
If I find one that matches my color scheme, I just might have to cut the card apart!
If you made it this far, you deserve to know about the Hop Special!!

What a great deal!!
We also have a hop PRIZE up for grabs!!!
If you leave a comment at each of the blogs along the hop, you'll be entered to win a $20 YNS Gift Certificate!!
Thanks so much for sticking through my LONG post! I'll send you on your way now, but don't forget to leave a comment before you go!
Happy Hopping!!
