It's time for our monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp!!

Our dare from Julie this month was to use the newly released goodies to create something with the theme

Sending Smiles!!

  

I immediately gravitated to the new Gardening Phoebe stamp set, because one of the sentiments is just perfect for this dare! ;)

I paired her with some Doodlebug Kraft in Color paper (cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies), and inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, just to tone down the yellow a little bit. Phoebe is cut out and popped up in the center of a Stitching and Piercing Circle Die, and I've finished it off with a blue button tied with some Burlap String.

The beginning of the month is all about new releases, and today I have a preview for you of the April  Release at C.C. Designs!

  

   

This month is LOADED with birthday cuteness, and who doesn't need more birthday goodies in their stash?? I know I can never have enough!

   

My card today features one of the two images from the new clear stamp set called Cupcakes and Balloons.. this one is Cupcake. :)

  

How do you like those awesome BIG letters?!? They are from the new Jumbo Alphabet Die Set, and it is an absolute must-have!! Scrapbooking, card-making, banners, school projects... this set is going to get a serious work out from me!
To complete the sentiment on this card, I did some masking with one of the new sentiments in the Birthday Wishes stamp set, and stamped the word "wish" on the side. The double stitched border is part of the new Make-a-Banner die set (also a must-have if you ask me!!)
And what about that fabulous rainbow striped paper?? It's from the new Rainbows 6x6 Paper Pad.

Welcome to our April NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP at Your Next Stamp!!!

I'm so glad you are joining us! There are lots of fabulous goodies to share, and I have several pictures, so lets get right to it!!

   

First up, I made a clean and simple card using the new Just Plane Amazing stamp set and coordinating die set. This one was really fun, and easy. I just used some post-note paper to mask off the edges, leaving an off centered strip. I sponged it with Broken CHina and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks, going softer with the sponging toward the bottom. I added a sentiment, and popped  a few white and vellum clouds around the plane, and that was it!

My next project was also really fun to make, and will come in handy in my planner, and keeping me accountable for my fitness goals!

The set I used is called Plan to be Fit...

     

 

  

Sorry for the wonky pictures... I was getting too much glare in my lightbox, so I had to go old school with my photos!

I created a little planner insert using acetate, and stamped the cardstock on the inside with my weekly fitness goals.

  

  

I used the File Tab Die for the top, so the insert can be easily removed from the protective acetate cover.

   

   

   

On the outside of the cover, I can use Sharpies and Copics to color and jot down times, notes, etc.

   

    

Once I'm done, and ready to track a new week, I can simply wipe off the markings with a bit of rubbing alcohol!

    

    

Pretty awesome, don't you think?? I love that I can reuse it week after week!

This adorable image is from a new set called Learning is Fun. As if I'm not a big enough sucker for anything school themed, this image includes the cutest little panda... a favorite in my house! I used the matching Learning is Fun Die to cut the image out, and popped it up in the center of the fabulous new Stitched and Pierced Circle Dies! I LOVE these dies!!! They work so perfectly with the Circle Die Set to create a nice matting. I also added a bunch of stars cut from the new Stripe-Tastic Star Die Set.

We've got a new challenge for you today at Your Next Stamp!

I've used the sketch for my card today, along with the adorable Blast Off stamp set. I love this little alien! I colored him with Copics, and added some sparkle to his green skin using my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. He is cut out and popped up on a Stitched Oval Die that I've sponged with Memento Summer Sky ink. The stars are cute from the Magical Unicorn Die set, and also covered with with glitter from the Wink of Stella pen. The fun background paper is from the DCWV Boyhood Stack, and is cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die.
