Birthday Girl
Happy Friday friends!!
We've got a great challenge up at Your Next Stamp, and you still have one more week to play along!
Here is a look at the sketch...

...and the color combination...

I used the color combo this week... the colors of the tiny dots on this patterned paper from Doodlebug Hello Sunshine pad are perfect for this challenge!
I colored up Birthday Phoebe, and did a little paper piecing on her dress and party hat. The layers of the card are cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and I've added stitches to the diagonal strip using the Tiny Stitches - Stitched Line Die. Last, I scattered a few Ice Ice Baby Sparkly Gumdrops, and Candy Land Glittered Gumdrops on the card, including one to top her hat!
Copics:
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R30
Hair - T10, T8, T7, T5
Shoes, Hair Ties - RV63 and Prismacolor Pencils Process Red and Hot Pink
I found this fabby sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, and thought it was perfect for sweet Phoebe! :)
That's all for today!
Thanks so much for visiting!

World's Best Teacher
We are celebrating teachers this week at Your Next Stamp!!
With Teacher Appreciation Day coming up on May 3rd, we wanted to provide you with lots of inspiration to thank the special teachers in your lives!
I have three kiddos in elementary school, so I am always trying to think of new ideas for little teacher gifts. It doesn't have to be anything fancy or expensive, but a special touch like a handmade tag on a store bought gift can go a long way!
I created a simple tag to tie onto some school supplies for my project today.
I tried something new (for me)... I found some cork sheets on clearance at Hobby Lobby, and grabbed them to try with my die cuts. I cut the tag out with the Stitched Fishtail Tags Two Die Set, once with the cork, and once with cardstock. The cork was a little flimsy, so I adhered it to the cardstock for more stability. The stitching didn't show up on the cork, but it cut beautifully!!
I stamped a sentiment from A"dork"able onto the cork using Versafine Onyx Ink. The tag is finished off with the Apple Die, pieced together with polka dot paper from Doodlebug, kraft for the stem, and green for the leaf, and popped up above the sentiment. The edges of each of the papers for the apple were inked in coordinating colors of distress inks.
Pretty simple, but sure to be appreciated by a stationery loving teacher! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
The Reason I Smile...
Happy Friday!!!
I actually had a little bit of time for stamping outside of my Design Team work this week! So, I decided to play along in a couple of challenges, just for fun!
It gave me a chance to finally color up this cutie named Brooke Panda from Stamp Anniething. I grabbed her as soon as she was released a few months ago, because she reminds me of my Abigail, who happens to love pandas!!
I paired her with some polka dot paper from the new C.C. Designs Rainbows 6x6 Paper Pad, which fits the "Polka Dots" theme for the current Stamp Anniething Challenge! I also used my YNS Stitched Rectangles Dies, and the little stitched heart from my C.C. Cutters Make-a-Card Die Set #9.
Copics:
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R30

Pants - V17, V25, V22, V20, V01
Boots - T9, T7, T5, T3, T2
Jacket - T1, T0, C00
I am also entering this into the current challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches... still one of my favorite sketch challenges to play along with when I have time!

I ended up switching the placement of the embellishment because I thought it flowed better with the sentiment I used (from the Hero Arts Lil Hoot set).
Alrighty... that's all from me for today!
Thanks so much for visiting, and have a wonderful weekend!!
So Beary Sweet!
