Dear Santa
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick project I made for my kiddos... little magnetic notepads for them to keep track of their Christmas wishes.

I came across this tutorial a while ago, and pinned it knowing I would use it eventually! I adjusted mine a bit, leaving off the cover, and instead decorating the top of the notepad (which is just one of those Jr. Legal Pads cut in half length-wise). I used the Santa image from the new Meoples No Peeking set from All That Scraps. He's colored with Copics and cut out, leaving out his gift sack. Then I popped him up with foam adhesive on a die cut oval, inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The patterned papers are all from the My Mind's Eye "Be Merry" 6x6 pad. I stamped the sentiment from the AmyR Funny Christmas set at the top of the pad to finish it off.
Here is a closer look at one of the pads...

Copics Used:
Skin - E01, E00, E000, R30
Hat, Suit - R89, R39, R37, R35
Boots, Belt - 100, T7, T5, T4
Beard, Hat - C1, C0, C00, Blender
Buckle - Signo Gold Gel Pen
My kids were very impatient that I had to take a picture before they could use their new Christmas notepads! So... I think they like them! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love to know what you think!

Tuesday Morning Sketch #169
YIKES! I can't believe its been a whole week since I've posted anything! I have been very busy crafting, I just can't share most of it... yet! ;)
But today, I do have something fun to share... a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

I love Melissa's sketch this week, and I also love this week's fantastic sponsor - Stamp Fairy! I have been a fan of Stamp Fairy for a long time... the teddies are some of my favorites! Gerda was kind enough to offer the design team an image to work with for the sketch, so I chose Linda Fairy #1. Isn't she sweet?? And you know me, I kept my sample very clean...
I colored Linda Fairy with my Copics, and paper pieced her dress and bow. Her wand and wings are fancied up with some ultra fine glitter. I honestly hate using loose glitter - the stuff gets everywhere no matter what I do! BUT, I do love the look of this clear glitter from Recollections. I like that I can glue it right over the areas I colored with Copics so the color shows through, and the paper doesn't warp like it does when I use Stickles. I also added some sparkle to the word "sparkles" in the sentiment using my clear Copic Spica pen. Can't really see it in the photo, but it looks pretty neat in real life!

Supplies: AmyR Magical Wishes Sentiment (All That Scraps); Palette Noir Ink; Hammermill White CS;

Tuesday Morning Sketch #168
Happy Tuesday sketch fans! I'm so excited to share this week's sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches... this one was designed by yours truly! Please excuse the rough drawing, I am a bit tech challenged, and have no idea how to make those pretty sketches everyone else is capable of!

This week's generous sponsor is Stamping Scrapping, an online store with an impressive selection of products to meet all of your stamping needs!
I used the sketch very literally for my card, except for the sentiment, as that was included in the image. This one has been colored with Copics, with a little sparkle added to the snow.

TMS Virtual Surprise Party for Theresa!
We've got a special celebration planned today for a very special and talented lady... Theresa Winslow!
Melissa {Theresa's sister} secretly gathered up a group of Theresa's blogging friends to help her celebrate two major milestones this month... her 50th Birthday, and also five years of being cancer free!
I've only "known" Theresa for the short time I've been part of the TMS Design Team, but she has been so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive! I think we have some really great reasons to celebrate this amazing woman!
And you can celebrate with us! There is a special "extra" challenge starting today at the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog in honor of Theresa's milestones. No sketch, just a theme of "Pink" and "Birthday". You have all month to link up your creation to the TMS Blog!
I was doing some shopping last week at MarkerPOP for some refills on my most loved Copics, and this little cutie made her way into my cart! This is probably not the typical image for a 50th Birthday card, but I just loved the sentiment for this occasion!
