Tuesday Morning Sketch #189
Hi Stampers! I took most off last week off from blogging and design team duties to concentrate on my girls' birthday... but now I'm back at it! Are you ready to see the newest Tuesday Morning Sketch? It was designed by our lovely Bonnie this week...

This week is also our judged challenge, which means there's a little twist along with the sketch... this time we want to see MONOCHROMATIC GREEN on your creations using the sketch. Our sponsor this week is My Creative Classroom... play along for a chance to win a FREE class of your choice!
Let me just say, monochromatic is not an easy look for me... I thought I did okay, until I saw my team-mates cards! WOW! Now I'm thinking I should've used more green...
I used an image from Meoples Lucky Rainbow from All That Scraps. I love these cuties, but when it comes to coloring their hair, I'm stumped! I'm never quite sure what to do! So, if you have any tips for me, I'd love to hear them! I kept the card pretty simple, and used a tracing wheel to add some stitched detail around the edges. The shamrock is a die cut from the CC Cutters Lucky Charms Dies.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Kiwi Crush CS; LilyBee Handmade 6x6

I hope you'll join our challenge this week!

Crafty Gals - March
Its the 5th, and that means it's time for another Crafty Gals project! This month, our challenge was to CASE the talented Carolina! As soon as I saw this card that she posted back in November, I knew it was the one I wanted to CASE. I have a tough time with boyish and manly cards, and anything to do with the color orange intimidates me! So, I knew this card would challenge me out of my comfort zone!
(Carolina's original card)
Here is my CASE of her fun card. I used a DigiStamp Boutique image from the Fun Time Dan Set 2, and sentiment from There She Goes "Puppy Love". I used similar designer papers, but sponged a cloudy sky on mine. I also centered the image on my card, and changed the placement of the sentiment.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS: Echo Park Dots and Stripes Soda Fountain (green dot);
My Mind's Eye Out of the Blue (orange dot); Versafine Onyx Black; Tumbled Glass Distress Ink;
Lil' Inker Designs Cloud Die; Fiskars Grass Border Punch; Tracing Wheel; Copics
Copics Used:

Jeans - B39, B37, B34, B32

That's it for now. Be sure to visit the rest of the Crafty Gals Blogs to see how they've honored Carolina today. You can find their blog links on my side bar.

Lil' Inker February Release Blog Hop - Day 3
Have you been enjoying the eye candy so far this week?? It's not over yet! We have one last day of blog-hopping fun planned for you! If you've arrived here from the very talented Alicia's Blog, then you are in the right place! If not, you can start over at the Lil' Inker Blog to make sure you don't miss any stops. As always, there are prizes hidden along the way, so be sure to leave a comment at every blog to better your chances of winning!
Here's a fun little card using the new Notebook Die and Notebook Doodle Stamps. I've seen images of doodles like these where they gradually change color, so I wanted to try to acheive that look on my card. I used 3 different colors of ink on the star doodle, and sort of rubbed the ink pads onto the image to try to get the colors to softly blend together. It took a few tries to get the look I wanted, but I think it worked out! I dug some coordinating cardstock out of my stash, and stamped it with the smaller doodles using Versamark Ink. I use the word "awesome" all the time... probably more than a grown woman should... but I am thrilled to now have that sentiment in my stamp collection! :)
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Wausau Black CS; Bazzill Smoothies Watermelon Sensation, Island Breeze, and Grape Delight;
Versafine Onyx Black Ink; Versamark Ink; Memento Summer Sky, Bahama Blue, and Rose Bud Inks; Palette French Lilac Ink;
LID Notebook Die; LID Notebook Doodles; Black Sew Easy Floss; Pop Dots
Here is a closer look at the Lil' Inker Designs goodies I used for my card today...
That's all from me! You are almost through with the hop, so I will send you on your way! The next stop is the lovely Sarah's Blog. Enjoy!
