Hoppy Birthday
This week's iCopic Challenge is to use copics in the YG family for your project... EASY! This is my favorite color family! The combo I reach for ALL the time is YG25-YG03-YG01. I love this bright green, and it seems to go with so many of the patterned papers in my collection!
I made a cute little tag for the challenge... all of the stamps I used are old Angel Company stamps.
Supplies: TAC Pocket Peepers (frog); TAC Frogs and Kisses ("hoppy"); TAC Little Cupcake ("birthday");
Recollections DSP (Bright and Basic 6x6 pad); Bazzill Ocean Breeze CS; Neenah Classic Crest Solar White CS;
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Memento Tuxedo Black Marker; Thread; Paper Piercer; Crop-a-Dile; Ribbon; Button; Pop Dots; Copics
Copics Used:
YG25, YG03, YG01 - Frog
B02, B00 - Eyes
Here's a little trick I used today that I wanted to share... the sentiment on the tag is actually from 2 seperate sentiment stamps. I used my Memento Tuxedo Black Marker to color only the word on the stamp that I wanted to use:
Maybe you can get a little more mileage out of your sentiments now, too!

For Somebunny Special
Heidi over at 2 Cute Ink offered up this adorable freebie to play along in the 2 Cute Ink Challenge! Mojo Monday Bunny
I've had this cute little Egg Painting Bunny image from Whimsie Doodles sitting on my desk for weeks, just waiting to be colored! When I saw this week's Mojo Moday Sketch, I finally found a purpose for him! I printed the image twice - once onto white cardstock, once onto ivory cardstock. I colored the image on the white, then cut it out, and paper-pieced it onto the ivory to really make the bunny stand out. The stitching was done by hand again... I have TONS of DMC Floss that I've saved from my cross-stitching days, so I picked a color that matched the lavendar cardstock. I also added a little White Fun Flock to the tail.
Supplies: Georgia Pacific White CS; Bazzill Walnut Cream CS; Bazzill Snapdragon CS; DCWV PP;
Whimsie Doodles "Egg Painting" Digital Stamp; Whimsie Doodles "Egged" Digital Sentiment;
White Fun Flock; White Gel Pen; DMC Floss; Paper Piercer; Ribbon; Copics
Copic Colors Used:
R01, R00, R000 - Ears, Feet, Cheeks
B24, B21 - Blue Stripe on Egg
YG25, YG03, YG01 - Green Stripe on Egg
Y38, Y35, Y32 - Orange Stripe on Egg
V15, V12, V000 - Purple Stripe, Paint

Mouse Twins
I haven't been feeling very creative lately, but managed to eek out a card today. My daughters had their 5th birthday a couple weeks ago, and I've been meaning to make thank you's for them to sign. I found this image from digistampcharacters and thought it would be perfect! The layout for this card was inspired by the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge on SCS. I colored the mice with a combination of Copics and colored pencils (you can see my tutorial here). The stitching on the card is all done by hand... the tension on my sewing machine is all wonky, and I can't seem to get a straight stitch! I need to get it looked at, because this was a little time-consuming!! I'm happy with the outcome though...
Supplies: Mouse in the House 001 Digi; My Favorite Things PI Berry Sweet Stamp (sentiment); Versafine Onyx Ink;
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; Bazzill Boysenberry Delight CS;

Copics Colors Used:
