Angel Twila
Have I told you how much I LOVE the October Release at C.C. Designs??
This just might be my favorite release in my 3 years on the team... it is HUGE and AMAZING!!
Without a doubt, my most favorite items from this release are the new Squares #1 Dies and Big Scalloped Squares Dies. I have been searching a looooooong time for a set of square dies the will cut a card base, or fill a card front. These are a dream come true!! And with 9 pieces... thats right NINE... these square dies are going to be a new staple in my card making. And bonus points for the stitched edges!!!
For my card today, I used the largest Scalloped Square to create the card base... I simply cut two pieces, and attached them with a strip of scor-tape across the top. I used a couple different sizes of Square Dies to add the other layers.
Angel Twila is colored with Copics, and popped up in the corner. The sentiment is from the new Pollycraft Jolly Christmas Sentiments set, and I surrounded it with several glittery gold dots from the new Merry Christmas Enamel Dots. The snowflake patterned papers are from the Doodlebug Sugarplums 6x6 Pad.
Up close, you can see I covered her halo and wand in Gold Stickles, and her wings are smothered in glitter from my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker.
Copics:
Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R30
Hair - Y26, Y23, Y21
Wings, Eyes, Hairbands - BG01, BG000, BG0000
Shading on Dress - T1, T0
That's all I have to share today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I've colored up the sweet girl from the A'dork'able set. Both of my girls are total bookworms, and I'm always finding stacks of books all over the house!
I colored this cutie to match some fun paper from the Doodlebug Day to Day 6x6 pad. The lined background was stamped with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the Recipe Card stamp set. Naughty or Nice?
I am sooooo giddy about this month's New Release at C.C. Designs!
Christine WOW's us with super cute images each month, but she has seriously out-done herself this time! Check out what she's been working on...

That's right crafty peeps... an EXCLUSIVE 6x6 patterened paper pad! And the colors are drool worthy!!
Every year, I make a little notebook to keep track of gift ideas, wish lists for the kiddos, all that sort of thing, so I was excited to use some of these new goodies to make this year's notebook. I started with a 5x7 Mead Five-Star Spiral Notebook, and cutied it up with a new Sassy Santa image. I paired him with a piece of paper from the new Merry Christimas 6x6 Pad, and it matched PERFECTLY to Bazzill Gumdrop and Red Hots cardstocks. Such easy, stress free layering!!
I colored Santa with Copics, added some fluff to his hat with my Marvy Snow Marker, and popped him up on a new C.C. Cutters Ovals #1 Die... yeppers everyone... C.C. Designs now has an AWESOME collection of layering dies, just perfect for cardmaking!! Are you wondering how this release can possibly get any better??
Well... I haven't mentioned the ribbons and enamel dots that coordinate with the new paper!!
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Hat, Coat - R89, R39, R29, R27, R24, R22

School is Cool!!
It's time for our monthly feature at Your Next Stamp, and this month's theme is...
School is Cool!
There are so many cute school themed stamps and dies in the YNS Store... just wait till you see the variety of ideas the Design Team came up with!
My kiddos have been back in school for about 6 weeks already. I thought it would be fun to make something cute they can use with their homework. We have a special "homework area" in the house, so they can always find all the supplies they need to get their work done. I decided to decorate a pencil holder for their homework area, and add cute pencil toppers to some freshly sharpened pencils...
The pencil cup is just a can covered in cute paper from The Paper Studio. I used the Apple Die to cut a bunch of little apples for the pencil toppers, and stamped each one with a different face from Fun Faces and Fun Faces 2.
To hold the apples on the pencils, I cut a small strip of cardstock, about .5" x 1.5", and adhered it to the back of the apple with scor-tape, leaving a loop for the pencil to fit through. It fits tight enough not to wobble, but can be easily removed to use the eraser, or switch to another pencil.
The kids were very excited to find this waiting for them when they got home from school today! It's such a simple thing, but it made homework time a lot more fun!
Head on over to the YNS Blog to see the fabulous variety of projects from the team... and while you're there, be sure to leave a comment! One lucky fan will recieve a YNS stamp set of their choice, just for commenting!!!
Good luck!
