It's time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp!!

I used the sketch this week, along with a new stamp set called Happy Dance. I love this little guy!

I paired him with some fun paper from the Colorbok Hootenanny 6x6 pad (which is cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die Set), and colored him with Copics. He is popped up on a circle cut from the YNS Circles Die Set, with a few Gumdrops sprinkled around him (Pink - Strawberry, Blue - Mermaid Fun, Green - Love Earth, and Orange - Neon Sunrise).

It's time for our monthly Design Team DARE at Your Next Stamp!!

This is a fun way we wrap up our new release each month with Thanh and Karen "daring" us to use a theme to create something with the newly release goodies. This month's theme... FLORAL!!!

   

Not too hard... I used one of the sweet penguins from the new Waddles - Rainbow Fun set who happens to have a little flower on her head! I also used some floral print paper from the Echo Park Country Drive digital collection.

I cut out the layers with my YNS Stitched Squares Dies, and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The clouds are cut from the new Rainbow Fun Die Set, and placed behind the image. I colored this cute penguin with Copics, cut her out, then pierced holes in the swing and her wings to thread some jute twine through.

I am, so lets get right to it!!

    

I have two cards to share with you today... first up is the adorable new Jessica with her Puppy. I've actually used all the stamps in the set on this card... the paw prints are stamped with Versamark ink to make a little trail on the base layer. The sentiment is also included in the set, and I've stamped that into a corner of the Stitched Rectangle to leave room to pop the image up in the corner. Isn't Jessica the cutest?! I love coloring her! :)

I wanted it to look like he was stuck to a window, peeking in, so I cut the circle out and put clear acetate between the opening and the colored image.

      

   

I used the Circles Dies, Stitching Marks Circles Dies, and Stitched Rectangles Dies for my simple layout. The green Gumdrops are from a new collection called Love Earth Gumdrops, and the yellow ones are from last month's release -  Neon Sunrise Gumdrops.

Can you believe it is already the 1st of July?!? You know what that means... NEW RELEASES!!!

    

C.C. Designs has an AMAZING release this month! Lots of cute stamps, and so many fun extras... stencils, dies, AND enamel dots!!!

Everything will be available in the C.C. Designs Store tomorrow at noon EST, but in the meantime, the Design Team has some previews to share with you!

    

I've colored up the fun new Super Hero Twila from the Roberto's Rascals line. And check out my background... made it myself, and I'm pretty stoked with how it turned out!

I wish I would have taken pictures along the way to show you, but it's a really simple process. I used the new Falling Star Stencil, and with a popsicle stick, I spread Stardust Stickles onto my base paper. After letting the stickles dry, I sponged on a few different shades of Distress Ink (Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves) using the Mini Ink Blending Tool. Next, I spritzed a little water onto the finished inked surface, and... ta-da! I have a pretty starry backdrop for Twila to fly into! I finished by adding a sentiment from AmyR Starry Sentiments, and a few glittered stars cut from the Make-a-Card #7 - Superhero Die.
