Here is the project I created with the new stamp!

I colored Katy with Copics, and placed her underneath a popped up cloud die cut. I used some scraps from my Doodlebug paper stash, and added a bit of twine across the top.

Here is the project I created with the new stamp!

I found this really fun bubble print paper in my stash... I have no idea where it's from, and I only had one sheet, but that was enough for this cute card! :)

I cut the bubble print to take up the entire background, and cut the rings using various sizes of circle dies. I used the largest ring to frame sweet Sofia, and the smallest one to highlight the sentiment.

I love Molly!!

I have been waiting for the chance to use this pretty sunflower print paper from Doodlebug's Flea Market collection, and Molly is a perfect match! I colored her up with my Copics, and kept the layout simple so she would really stand out!

It's time for our monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp!!

Each month, Julie and Karen give the designers a fun challenge with the new release... this month our dare is

Book Inspiration!

There are so many ways this can be interpreted... just wait until you see what the rest of the Design Team came up with!!

I love books! I especially love children's books, and have been collecting them since long before I had kiddos of my own. I took inspiration from this sweet book called A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni...

Yup... it's about a chameleon, and YNS just happened to release the cutest set of chameleon stamps this month!!

What I love most about his book is actually the artwork... the watercolored illustrations are beautiful! So, I decided to watercolor my own chameleon!

I started by stamping the chameleon from One in a Chameleon onto watercolor paper. Using a waterbrush, I brushed some Distress Inks onto the image... I really had no idea what I was doing, but it looks pretty good! :)

I cut him out, removing the branch he was sitting on, and propped him up on the letters I cut from the Bold Alpha Die Set.

The background was created by inking up one of my acrylic blocks with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks, spritzing it wih water, and "stamping" it onto the paper. Then I splattered it with a bit of Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Inks.

Easy Peasy!!

YNS April 2017 New Release Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the April New Release Blog Hop for Your Next Stamp!!!

This month's release is AMAZING!!! I love every bit of it! Cute critters, coffee themed paper, and awesome, versatile dies... everything I dream of in a release! :)

For my first project, I colored up the adorable chameleon from the new One In A Chameleon Stamp Set. I love the "one in a chameleon" sentiment, and thought it would make for a cute Father's Day Card. So, I cut out the letters D-A-D from the new Alphabet Die, and added them above the stamped sentiment. This die set is going to get so much use in my card making!! I love being able to personalize sentiments!

Up next, I have a cute little gift set using the new Scratch Pad Stamps and Dies. I've been making these little half notepads as gifts for years, and I knew this stamp set would be perfect for one! I might make a bunch of these for Teacher Appreciation Week at the kiddos school, but I think they would also be a really cute product for those of you that do craft fairs!

I cut the outline of the cats three times from heavy cardstock, and glued all the layers together to make sure the tails wouldn't bend since they are peeking over the top of the pad. I added a matching pen, and tied it on, along with a tag from the new Cool Tag Die Set, and it's ready to give away!
