It's time for out monthly Design Team Dare at Your Next Stamp!!

Each month, the designers are given a challenge in which we must incorporate the newly released goodies...

this time it's all about Getting Inky!

  

This was such a fun challenge, and it gave me a chance to play around with my YNS Inks a little bit!

I used Ocean Mist (which I think might be my favorite color!) and Garden Green to sponge grass and sky for my background. Once the background was covered in color, I spritzed it pretty heavily with water in my Mini Mister.

I LOVE the splotchy effect it has!!

  

 

Once the panel dried, I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and assembled a little scene with the new Peek a BOO stamps and dies. The images were stamped with Black Olive Ink and colored with Copics.

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp September Release celebration!!

   

  

Our fabulous release is full of Fall fun and lots of cute critters that are sure to capture your heart!

   

I had so much fun coloring up this month's cuties!

On my first card, I've featured the sweet squirrel from the Autumn Animals Stamp Set. I definitely don't think these are limited to just Fall projects... I will be using these critters and punny sentiments all year round!!

I've used a sheet of "nutty" paper from the new Fabulous Fall 6x6 Paper Pad, and frames cut from the new Insta-Love Die Set.

My second card is my favorite from this release!

I've used the bunny from the Scarf Weather Stamp Set, and cut it out with the coordinating Scarf Weather Die Set. I sponged some Ocean Mist Ink onto the Circle Die, and popped the bunny up in front. The sentiment is embossed in white and cut out with the fun new Washi Sentiment Strip Dies.

It's time for a sneak peek of this month's release at Your Next Stamp!

     

I am featuring a few new products on my card today...

First is this cute stamp set called Peek-a-BOO. I colored the image using the "no line" technique... I stamped it with Desert Sand Memento Ink, and colored with a combination of Copics and colored pencils. The dies are from the new Ripped Rectangles Die Set, and I've inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. And that lovely stripey paper is from the new Fabulous Fall 6x6 Paper Pad... it's a must have!!!
