It's time for the Whimsie Doodles September Challenge, and this month it's all about

AUTUMN COLORS!

Just make a project using whatever colors you associate with this time of year, and link it up to the blog to share! You do not have to use a Whimsie Doodles image to enter, but you will have the chance to win one!

We don't see a lot of seasonal changes here in Southern California, and that is something I really miss from when we lived in the Pacific Northwest. I love to see the beautiful color changes on the trees!

For my card, I used the Out Foxed and Oh Nuts! stamp sets from A Jillian Vance Design. I stamped the blades of grass from the Oh Nuts! set in Memento Pear Tart Ink and Palette Landscape Ink, then colored the ground underneath with Copics. I was inspired by Wendy's card to paper-piece the cute fox! I picked a simple "Thinking of You" sentiment from the YNS Summer Blossom Fluffy Kitty set.

For my projects I've used two must-have sets for fall - Halloween Cuties, and Ghostly Greetings. There is so much versatility in these sets, as you will see from the design teams beautiful samples!

On my first card, I stamped two of the candy corn images from Halloween Cuties, and gave them cute little faces with the Fun Faces set. I cut them out and popped them up together next to a sentiment from Ghostly Greetings.

The second card is my favorite that I made for this release! :)

I stamped the ghosts from Halloween Cuties onto vellum, and gave them faces from Fun Faces also. I cut them out, and glued them in front of a cloudy sky that I sponged using the YNS Puffy Cloud Dies, and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I was so tired last night, I headed to bed pretty early, and forgot to set up this post! Oops!

YNS September Sneak Peek!

There are new stamps and dies coming to Your Next Stamp in just a couple of days, but before we reveal the entire release, we have some sweet sneak peeks for you!

I colored up the adorable new Bug Coaster to show you today... this set comes with a cute buggy and a boy and girl image to can stamp in the seat. But, I think my favorite part of this set is all the sentiments! I had such a tough time narrowing down which one I wanted to use, that I had to pick two! I stamped them onto the smallest tag from the Bookmark/Tag Layered Die Set, and tied them on with ribbon.

Just Chillin'

It's time for my monthly Sister Stamps inspiration post for the C.C. Designs Blog!

I got to play with a couple of the newer stamps - Ekahi and Anuhea. As soon as I saw these cuties I knew I wanted to make a scrapbook page... the local Kona Ice truck visits my kids school once a month, so I thought it would be fun to make a little layout of them enjoying this special after-school treat.

Lately, I have been admiring 6x6 scrapbook pages... they are closer to the size of a card, so they don't seem so intimidating! I kept it very simple, and left room for one photo right in the center.

Just above the mat for the photo, I added a cut from the C.C. Cutters Tickets Die (I used the larger ticket, and cut it in half length-wise) stamped with a sentiment from the AmyR Freezin' Season set. The patterned papers are from the Doodlebug Springtime 6x6 pad.
