Crappy Times
This month, Your Next Stamp is celebrating it's 11th Birthday!!!
I'm so, so lucky to still be a part of this amazing team... this is my 7th year celebrating with Karen and YNS!
To help celebrate, we have a pretty awesome release coming to the store on the 18th, with sneak peeks leading up to the reveal!
For Day 1 of Sneak Peeks, I'm sharing a fun little project using the new Crappy Times.
(C'mon... you know we ALL need this one!!!)
Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, DCWV Basics 6x6 Stack, MFT Sno Cone CS, YNS Black Olive Ink Pad,
Versamark Ink Pad, White Embossing Powder, Foam Adhesives, Cellophane Gift Bag, Fiber, Copics
Yep... that's a cute kitty tangled up in toilet paper!!
I laughed out loud when I saw this set! I just had to pair it with an actual roll of toilet paper for a funny gift!
And I know I will be reaching for that specific sentiment over and over again!
I created the tag with the Cool Tag Six Die Set and Circles Dies. The circle is sponged with just a light touch of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to stand out behind the kitty. The toilet roll was placed in a large cellophane gift bag, and the tag tied on with some fun fiber I was recently gifted.
Pretty simple, but I'm sure it will bring a smile to someone's face!
Copics:
Cat - E99, YR24, YR21, E50
Nose, Ears - E93, R30, R000
Collar - B01, B00, B000, B0000
Tag - Y35, Y32
Toilet Paper, Shadows - T1, T0, C00
Today is just the beginning of previews... there are 3 days in total, and then we HOP on Tuesday, August 18th!
Hope you'll join all the birthday release fun!
Thanks for visiting!
Dude!
I'm playing along with this month's Stamp Anniething Challenge with my card today.
The theme is **STARS**.
I colored up Tony - Gnarly with Copics, and did a little paper-piecing on his cap. The star print paper is from Doodlebug's Goal 6x6 paper pad.
Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, Astrobrights 80# Jet Black, Doodlebug Goal 6x6,
YNS Stitched Rectangle Dies, YNS Black Olive Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Ink, Versamark Ink,
White Embossing Powder, Foam Adhesive, Copics
Behind Tony, I sponged some Twisted Citron Distress Ink, and added a few die cut stars. The sentiment is from YNS One in a Chameleon.
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30, R000
Hair - E27, E25, E23
Shirt - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01

Wish We Could Hang Out!
My card today was inspired by the current sketch at My Favorite Things.
(I can't even remember the last time I played along in a sketch challenge!)
Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, Colorbok Wild Life Paper, Versafine Onyx Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Ink,
Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, Copics, Foam Adhesive, May Arts Natural Burlap String
This cute monkey is from a Paperie Ink set called Monkey Do. I colored him with Copics, and popped him up on a large circle sponged with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. I added a little twine across the top for him to hang from, and a sentiment from MFT's (retired?) Happy Pandas set. The green leaf print paper is from a very old Colorbok collection called Wild Life (I think), it's been in my stash FOREVER, and this is the first time I've cut into it!
Copics:
Body, Nose - E49, E47, E44, E43
Face, Ears - E43, E42, E41
Cheeks - R30
That's all I have today.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Baby Blocks
It's time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp!
The theme this time is
BLOCKS!
I thought this was the perfect chance to use some of the baby block print paper from the Sweet Baby 6x6 Paper Pad.
There are blue sheets and pink sheets, so of course I had to use one of each!
I colored up a couple of elephants from the Stacked with Fun stamp set... I love using these animals for baby cards!
Keeping with the "block" theme, I made square cards, and cut the various layers with my Stitched Square Dies, and Stitched Square Frame Dies.
Just for a little variation, I added a tiny pink bow to the elephant on the girl card. The sentiments on both cards are from the All Aboard Bouncing Baby stamp set.
Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, DCWV Neutrals Cardstock Stack (grey), YNS Sweet Baby 6x6 Pad,
