It's my day to share some March New Release Inspiration on the YNS Blog.

Today, I have a card featuring the new Totally Retro Stamp Set.

Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, Astrobrights80# Black, Echo Park Dots and Stripes 6x6,

Hiedi Swapp Serendipity 6x6, YNS Stitched Rectangle Dies, YNS Talk Bubbles and Arrows Dies, MFT Stitched Circle STAX,

Copics, White Prismacolor Pencil, Foam Tape, Scrappers Floss

When I was cutting the telephone with the coordinating die set, the paper must have warped or slipped, because it cut the cord on the phone in half!

UGH!!!

To slavage the already colored image, I trimmed off what was left of the cord, and added some Karen Foster Scrappers Floss in its place! I love how it worked out!!

The sentiment is from the Talk Bubbles and Arrows Die Set. I trimmed up one of the larger talk bubbles in the set to fit the word a little tighter.

What a wonderful, elegant "Hello" card, I really like the pale shade of yellow you used in your design. The cord was something that immediately caught my eyes because it looked so realistic - turns out it is! Isn't it funny how mistakes and accidents force us to improvise and come up with original solutions? You turned your mishap into a unique interactive element that is perfect for the vintage phone.
