Space-tacular Background
It's time for Challenge #132 at Your Next Stamp!
This time we want you to create your own background!
I love making backgrounds with Distress Inks, and I don't think to do it very often, so this challenge was a good reminder!
I started by sponging my background with Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, and Broken China Distress Inks. I spritzed it with a bit of water, because I just like the effect! Then, I used the Falling Stars Die to cut out the starry sky, and backed it with some glitter cardstock. I colored the cute astronaut from the Space Boy Stamp Set with copics, and popped him up in the sky.
Supplies: Hammermill 80# Color Copy Cover, Black 100# Cardstock, Pen+Gear Diamond Print Glitter Cardstock,
YNS Black Olive Ink, Distress Inks, Blending Tools, Mini Mister, Foam Adhesive, Copics
Not sure the glitter really shows in the picture, but it looks awesome in real life!
Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30, R000
Hair - E29, E27, E25, E23
Space Suit - C3, C1, C0, C00 and B99, B97, B95, B93, B91
Now it's your turn to create a background! You could use inks, stamps, or even draw it yourself!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
You have until February 20th at midnight EST to link up on the YNS Blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
